Since the beginning
of time people have dreamed of flight. Ballooning is exhilarating
and peaceful, thrilling, pleasant ,romantic, and daring. All while quietly floating in space.
Our pilots are FAA
Certified Commercial Flight Instructors with extensive knowledge
of local micrometeorology and attend annual safety seminars
endorsed by the Balloon Federation of America. Colorado's
four star balloon operator with 28 years of experience!
We are located in the nicest group of mountains on the Colorado eastern slope. Not too close to the mountains and not to far away. Spectacular views of the Never-Summer and Mummy mountain ranges, the 14,259' Longs Peak, and Indian Peaks wilderness area are visible on most flights.
The scientists at the NOAA center proclaim that this area's weather is unique in the world. Our high altitue, huge mountains and special wind patterns make this a great place to balloon. The "Shadow of Longs Peak" is an area that is generally protected from severe weather and provides many days of sunshine and spectacular views. This makes for many great ballooinng opportunites. On days where there may be an upslope or East wind, we travel out from the mountians and still have an amazing time with a whole new view of the Front Range.
